The military justice system is the military prosecution and judicial authority in Switzerland. It judges criminal offences subject to military criminal jurisdiction in accordance with the Military Criminal Code. Its independence is guaranteed by law. The Office of the Attorney General is the administrative and service organisation of military justice. In administrative and organisational terms, it is responsible for ensuring that the members of the military justice system can perform their function competently and efficiently and in accordance with the law. The Office of the Attorney General reports administratively to the General Secretariat of the DDPS.
